pipeline causes explosion at NNPC pipeline in Lagos

Vandals have caused an explosion at the NNPC pipeline at Ije Ododo, Lagos State,

Confirming the incident, the South-west Zonal spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, said emergency workers were still trying to cut a path to the scene of the vandalism to put out the fire.

The Ije Ododo line is directly from Atlas Cove which supplies products to Moshinmi which further distributes to other parts of the South West zone. Ije Ododo and Arepo have been very volatile and extremely dangerous due to activities of the vandals in recent times.
