Captain and number one goalkeeper of theSuper Eagles, Vincent Enyeama is at war with the Nigeria Football Federation over his comments about the safety of Kaduna to host last weekend's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad.
Enyeama according to African Football, tore a query issued to him by the NFF in front of the officials who handed it to him.
The NFF are said to be looking into the matter which has been transferred to the NFF disciplinary committee.
Former Nigerian player, Garba Lawal has called for the Lille of France goalkeeper to be sanctioned for his disrespectful actions.
“Top NFF officials told me he tore the query he was issued. What Vincent did is unacceptable and he cannot go unpunished for this,” Lawal is reported to say by African Football.
The website also reports that Enyeama's comments were not well received by the newly elected Kaduna State Governor,Nasiru El Rufai, who had to be persuaded by top NFF officials to attend the Chad match after he initially said he would not.
Enyeama has however written an apology letter to the NFF, but the officials insist that he must be punished.
This is not the first time Enyeama is having issues with the NFF.
After a flight saga under Samson Siasia the 32-year-old was forced to apologise.
He lost his place in the Super Eagles squad and Nigeria failed to qualify for 2012 African Cup of Nations.
